SEMI-SEMESTER. The end of the First semester is coming. It feels like just yesterday Valley Heights students were starting the first day of school. Caden Parker says,” I’m ready for the upcoming season that comes with the second semester.” This past quarter student-athletes have competed in football and volleyball, dance, and scholars bowl. The Mustang Football team lost to Centralia in the second round of the play off games. The Lady Mustangs placed third at the sub-state volleyball tournament. 40 students put on the All school Play, stocking Stuffers The Valley Heights KAY organization put on a community Fall Fest in Blue Rapids, and had the Veterans Day celebration.
Some other activities Valley Heights Mustangs have participated in include, the The Mustang Magic Drill team performed at Highland Community College, and the Valley Heights Scholars Bowl had their first meet. Individual accomplishments include senior Emma Yungeberg signing to the University of Michigan to throw the Javelin.
Stella Martin, 8th grader, says, “ I am excited for the track and field season in the second semester.”
