HOPPIN INTO THE HOLIDAY.
Around the Valley Heights High School, some bunnies, better known as students, are dyeing for it to be Easter Sunday! When asking the student body what comes to mind when they hear the word “Easter,” a couple said the massive, scary, evil eyed bunny. While many others said pastel colors, God, family, and candy.
Each and every family celebrates Easter with their own unique traditions. Seventh grader, Henry Bachura, said his favorite tradition is making tomb rolls. Tomb rolls are cinnamon sugar covered rolls with a melted marshmallow inside. This dessert is symbolic in representing God’s resurrection and the true meaning behind Easter.
Seventh grader Leah Steinfort states, “My favorite thing about Easter is seeing my family and celebrating Jesus dying for our sins.” Sophomore Faye Jones said, “My favorite part of Easter is eating yummy food while catching up with my family.”
What age do you think is too old to hunt Easter eggs? About 70 percent of the students at Valley Heights say never! Hunting Easter eggs is an eggs-ilarating activity to partake in as a family. Wow, all this celebrating is eggs-hausting, but all of the students at the Valley Heights High School love Easter so much, it is not even bunny! That is all for Easter Sunday, yolks!
