LET THE DRAMA BEGIN. Every year, our school comes alive with the excitement and creativity of our All School Play. This year's production promises to be a spectacular showcase of talent, teamwork, and dedication from students across 9th-12th grades. The play, titled "Doo-Wop Wed Widing Hood" is a 50s musical. It tells the story of a king and queen hiring a fairy godmother to set three tasks for different princes. Only the prince who can find the missing girl, defeat the dragon, and awaken a castle visitor from her slumber earns the right to woo Wed Widing Hood…that is, Red Riding Hood.

When director Allison Jones was asked why she chose this play to showcase she said, “Because it was the first play I ever did. It was 2009 at the time, and I thought it would be really sweet to have the first show I was ever performing in to be the first show I come back and direct at Valley Heights!” Students have been working tirelessly, balancing their academic responsibilities with the demands of the play. The dedication of the cast and crew is truly inspiring. Harmony Conti, a senior member of the All-School Play cast said, “The play is the perfect way of following my passion and having fun.” From memorizing lines to late nights for practice, everyone is putting in their best effort to make this production a success.

The play will be November 8th, 9th, and 10th at the classic Waterville Opera House. We are excited to see guests enjoy what we have to offer.
