NEW TEACHERS.

NEW FACES. Here at Valley Heights High School, we have five new staff members in our building. We are so excited to have them join the team. The five new teachers are Miss Jones, Mr. Tryon, Mrs. Berger, Mrs. Hinkle, and Ms. Holle.

Miss Jones is a Valley Heights alumna. After high school, she attended Emporia State University and earned a BSE in Speech and Theatre. Miss Jones is teaching 8th Connect, Speech, Junior High Drama, and Journalism. “It’s been great being back in the community, everyone has been so welcoming and supportive,” says Miss Jones.

Mr. Tryon is also a Valley Heights alumnus and he is so thankful to be back in his hometown. Here at the high school he is teaching Junior High P.E. and advanced weights classes. After Mr. Tryon moved between different colleges, he ended up joining the military. After that, he started teaching at Washington County High School. He taught 8-12th grade history and social studies and was a track coach for the high school.

Mrs. Berger is the Special Education teacher. She also coaches high school softball and junior high volleyball. “This school year is going to be awesome because Valley Heights has a wonderful culture and I hope that continues throughout the school year and future generations,” says Mrs. Berger.

Mrs. Hinkle is our new English Teacher. She teaches seventh grade and Sophomore English, as well as ACT Prep.

Ms. Holle is the Junior High and Freshman History teacher. She is also currently completing her degree at Kansas State University.

Our school is so happy to have them here and be a part of our district and community!
