LEGACY ON THE FIELD

LEGACY ON THE FIELD. The last home regular season football game on October 11 against Herrington, might’ve just felt like a normal Friday night to the younger players, but for the  seniors, it was the last time they got to play on their home field. The VHHS Football team has eight seniors this season; Mack Shanks, Logan Gray, Ben Arganbright, Royce Ekstrum, Maddox O’Toole, Tristan Pierson, Cayden Dummermuth and Jayden DeWalt. These boys have played together, relied on each other, and watched each other grow on and off the field for years.

Quarterback Mack Shanks says, "Football has had a great impact on my life, it is the sport I love and it's helped me become the person I am today. I will miss playing on my home field and with my teammates.”

Senior Logan Gray adds on to that by saying, “My coaches over the years and the upperclassmen when I was younger have had the biggest impact on me. My coaches push me to always try to get better and the upperclassmen over the years taught me many tips and tricks I still use.”

These seniors keep the underclassmen in line and teach them many lessons as they go. As we approach the end of regular season football, each game now means more than ever.
