ART CLUB. Art Club is an organization that explores the visual arts and gives students a chance to work with the community while using different artistic mediums. Art Club also allows students to be involved with art if they couldn't fit it into their schedule. Anyone in ninth through twelfth grade are allowed to join as long as they're in good standing with the school. The Valley Heights Art Club is sponsored by art teacher, Liz Miller. This is Liz’s second year being the Art Club sponsor and her President is senior and four year member Saige Wilcox. The Art Club does a lot of things that people might not know about like going on field trips, face painting, and painting the windows on main street in Blue Rapids and Waterville for Homecoming. With Fall Fest coming up, the Valley Heights Art Club decided to paint rocks for a scavenger hunt all around Blue Rapids. They have even been given the opportunity to paint a mural at the public library in Blue Rapids! Liz says her favorite occasion in Art Club is when we have the Christmas party because it's a nice relaxing evening where they make crafts, laugh, and share drinks, and snacks.
