IN THE WINGS. The life as a play student is hard work. After a long day at school and sports, play practice follows just shortly after that from 7-8:30. When show time starts to creep around the corner the play student nearly lives at the Opera House. So with that being said I am going to give you a POV of a day in the life of a play student.

The cast is called at six o’clock for hair and makeup, this is one of the most challenging parts of the performance. Making sure you can see the makeup from the audience is a tough task for the makeup crew, and no one wants any loose hanging costumes on stage so making the costumes secure is vital for a quality performance. At seven o’clock the curtain falls and we sing and dance until Miss Jones is satisfied with our show for the night. Then, around 8:30 we are called to the house, where the audience sits, for notes; good and bad. Then if we are lucky Miss Jones will actually let us out before nine! Finally, we all get into our cars and drive home to our comfy beds. But do not forget the next day we sleep, eat, go to school, perform, and repeat.
