BEHIND THE SCENES. Every year the high schoolers at Valley Heights work extra hard to prepare for the play, but there is more than just what you see on stage. For this production, the backstage crew consists of 13 people and they all have an important job. This production could not be put on without these students.

Sophomore Bella Smith says, “I’m the stage manager for the play this year. I basically make sure everyone is in line and doing what they are supposed to do.”  Junior Stella Martin says, “I work with sound and lights. My favorite part of play practice is getting to see my friends, especially Lindsay who works with me.”  Sophomore Charlie Warders says, “I work with the stage crew so I move set pieces in between scenes. It’s an important job because you have to be strong, fast, and quiet.”

The backstage crew does more than you may think. Although you may not see these people working hard behind the scenes, they play one of the biggest roles in the play. Thanks to these people, this year's play was a huge success!
