GOBBLE. 90 percent of Americans participate in Thanksgiving every year. Many people celebrate this holiday in different ways. Thanksgiving is a time to come together with your family and give thanks for everything you have and eat!
People celebrate Thanksgiving in different ways and with different traditions. Freshman Klara McIntyre says, “We have a big Thanksgiving at our house. I end up eating a lot of food but the one I load up most with is sweet potatoes.” Sophomore Aiden Unruh says, “We have a smaller Thanksgiving at my grandma's house. I eat a lot but my favorite is stuffing because I only get it once a year.” Senior Anne Toerber says, “We have a very big family so there’s a lot of food and a lot of people. My favorite dish is stuffing but I found out that I am actually allergic to it, so it’s probably cheesy potatoes. Like everyone, I eat too much on Thanksgiving!”
Although we sometimes see Thanksgiving as a time to eat, it is more than that! Thanksgiving is a holiday about being thankful and recognizing everything you have. Everyone has their own unique traditions that make this holiday special.
