TIME FLIES. Can you believe we are over halfway through November? This is a very common phrase that you can hear many students say as the year goes on. Many classes are busy working on big projects going. For example, the juniors are starting one of their biggest projects, the Hero Project. This consists of researching and writing an essay on a hero or heroine from the 1920’s. Junior, Kaitlin Hemry says, “My character is Mary Pickford. She was the queen of silent movie films back in the 1920’s. Since we are reading “The Great Gatsby” as we are doing our project, I try to finish the assignments for "The Great Gatsby" first so I understand it better, then I do my research for the paper.”
Another big group of people that may feel like times are changing and flying by are the newest members at Valley Heights Jr. Sr. High School. The 7th grade class has experienced the most amount of change within the past year. 7th grader, Ethan Steinfort says, “There is honestly a lot that is different. Not sitting in a classroom all day is definitely new and I can't believe it's almost December. Time really is flying by.”
