UNCHARTED TERRITORY. The Valley Heights Football team made history on November 15th by beating Medicine Lodge allowing the team to advance to the sub-state game for the first time in school history. Last year, The Mustangs lost the same game to the same team and were thrilled to re-write history. After beating Medicine Lodge, they advanced to the Sub-State Semifinals game playing Conway Springs. Unfortunately, the Mustangs lost 55-22. Senior Logan Gray, thinks that this season has been very successful, as the team accomplished something that hasn’t ever happened. Junior Creighton Smith, says “This season was pretty good. One thing that we could have improved on was just being there. We weren’t used to making it this far and it made it challenging since we were nervous.” The Mustangs were 9-3 overall with a 2-1 district record.
