CHRISTMAS LIST ESSENTIALS (JH EDITION). Did you know that the average person in the United States spends over 1,000 dollars per year just on Christmas gifts? Christmas is the season for giving, but also receiving. As we begin to get closer to Christmas everyone is starting to figure out what they want this year.

8th grader Eleanor Toerber said, “The number one item on my Christmas list this year is a Heatless Air Curling Iron, but the best gift I have ever received was a puppy!” Everyone’s Christmas gifts vary, for example, 8th grader Emma Warders said, “My favorite gift was Taylor Swift tickets! I love going to concerts, so I hope I get Megan Moroney tickets this year.” 7th grader Ellarie Claycamp said, “I want some new clothes this year, but my favorite present was a new phone.”

Junior High girls and boys have very different Christmas lists. 8th grader Preston Smerchek said, “I like getting gift cards because then I can go in person and see what I like, but my favorite gift was my shotgun.” Another 8th grader, Ben Miller, said, “I really want a pair of AirPods since it’s basketball season, so I can listen to music on the bus.” 7th grader Connor Gleason said, “This year for Christmas I would really like to tag a buck! The best gift I’ve ever got was a rifle."

Christmas is coming up! Whether you’re the one buying gifts or receiving gifts, it’s an opportunity to show care and appreciation towards your loved ones.
