BVL. The Blue Valley League tournament started earlier this week on January 27 and is hosted by Blue Valley High School. The Junior High Basketball team is ready to compete in this annual tournament. The tournament runs from Monday, January 27 through Saturday, February 1.

The girls entered ranked 4th. Ahead of the game we spoke to eighth grader, Riley Skalla who said, “I think we will play pretty good and I’m pretty confident that we will win but everyone says that it is hard to beat a team three times.” The girls played Blue Valley on Monday and came away with the win. Looking ahead, the girls will match up with 1 seed, Hanover, January 30 at 4:45 in the New Gym.

The boys entered the tournament ranked 2nd. They had their first face off against Luckey on Monday night, where they secured a win to move farther into the tournament. Seventh grader, Ethan Steinfort, was confident going into the game as long as the team "worked on the things they didn’t do well on when we played them last Thursday." The boys will now play 3 seed, Linn, January 30 at 6:00 in the Old Gym.
