LIVE IN THE PRESENT. Khloe Suzann Gunn was born August 8, 2007 to Emily and Tim Gunn. Khloe is the younger sister of Maecyn and goes on to explain that her sister has had the biggest impact on her life. “She is the most humble, kind person and I hope to have the heart she does. She has always supported me, and pushed me to meet my goals; never allowing me to fall short or give up.” When she leaves the Valley Heights community, Khloe hopes she is remembered as someone who was honest, dedicated, and selfless.
Outside of Valley Heights you can find Khloe working at the after school program and attending the United Presbyterian Church. “I enjoy helping all ages of people and connecting with my community through children and the elderly.” Khloe’s ideal Friday night would be hanging out with her friends while driving what seems like every backroad in Marshall county, just listening to music and laughing.
Next fall, Khloe plans to attend the University of Kansas to obtain a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree. In ten years Khloe sees herself with a family as well as with dogs. She goes on explaining, “I want to have a job that I love, and I also want to be able to not only provide for my family but also be able to give back to my community.” Some future dreams and goals Khloe hopes to attain are to visit all 50 states along with 20 countries, she also wants to participate in meaningful research projects and advancements in college that will help improve medicine.
An accomplishment that Khloe is most proud of would be the leadership roles she has achieved such as NHS president, FACS president, and FACS vice president for 1 year. Cheer captain and Art club officer for 2 years, Khloe feels it shows that her peers and adults see qualities of a good leader.
Khloe has been involved in Art, KAY’s, All School Play, FACS, Mustang Mentor, and Cheer for four years; NHS, StuCo, FCA, Volleyball, and Dance for two years; and Journalism one year. One final thought Khloe wants to leave the underclassmen with is, “Focus on each other instead of yourself. It's easy to tell your friends you have too much going on to hangout because you're busy or have homework, but being around your peers will give you a lifetime of good memories. Don't worry so much about the future, instead live in the present.”
