BLOOD DRIVE. The Valley Heights FACS club teamed up with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive on March 25. During this time, community members were able to come out and donate. The original goal of 35 units of blood was passed with 36 units being donated.
“The more units collected, the more money we receive for scholarships that are offered to FACS club members by the Red Cross,” says FACS Club sponsor, Mrs. Pacha. After the donation, Red Cross and Valley Heights offer snacks and beverages including water, juice, chips, pretzels, cookies, and more. FACS Club President Aubrey Umscheid states, “This year FACS Club has accomplished a lot, like successfully hosting the annual FACS club dinner as well as earning enough money at the blood drive for our scholarship !”
