7th grade Language Arts students wrote persuasive letters last week. Some students chose school or sports topics. Mr. Kenworthy wrote letters back to each of the students that had addressed him, and explained the rationale or their next step in trying to change the policy. Thank you, Mr. K

The USD 498 Board of Education has announced the selection of Melissa Kennedy, as the new superintendent. Melissa will take the reins on July 1, 2020 after the retirement of John Bergkamp.

Dr. Porter came to Blue Rapids today to talk to students about becoming a Veterinarian.


The Kansas State We The People traveling championship trophy was named to honor the legacy of Mr. LEW Whitson, and the Whitson family was able to be part of the Awards Ceremony.

Schools that Care February Donation Drive: Spring Cleaning


Waterville Elementary students celebrated Kansas Day by learning facts about Kansas from Lila Swearengin and Tiffany Watt. Ann Walter told us all about Pioneer Fashion.




Waterville Elementary students celebrated Kansas Day. Kathi Menzel sang songs with kids and taught them to square dance. Marlene Tryon helped children with a craft. Rhonda Joseph from the K-State Extension office taught the children all about wheat.

Dr. Nicole Porter visited the Waterville Grade School to tell the children about her job as a Veterinarian.
