Mrs. Crowther and Mrs. Koehler’s 5th Grade Classes visited Blue Rapids Senior Living to interview local Veterans and present them with acrostic poems we made. Several kids are bringing home acrostic poems for family members who are veterans. We send our sincere thanks to all Veterans for their service.

Robotics Finals: Gates and Kaitlyn placed 8th at the tournament along with choosing the second highest scoring Valley Heights team, Chase and Sam, to join them in their alliance! Congratulations to all the teams who competed today. They fought hard every round!

7th grade English students read “War on the Wall,” then created their wall based on the description in the story and their visualization. The classes then voted on the projects. There was a three-way tie for 1st place in 4th hour and a tie for 3rd in 3rd hour. Good work kids!

Valley Heights KAYs, students, and staff will be hosting our annual Veteran's Day celebration, Monday, November 11th at 7:45 a.m. in the VHHS commons area. We would like to invite all veterans and their spouses/families to join us in the celebration. Coffee, roll, and juice will be served, followed by a short program.
